To find out the most current information about the various Botswana National Parks and Game Reserves you will be visiting on your self-drive safari follow us on Facebook and Twitter, or follow our Blog.
All campsites in Botswana’s national parks and game reserves need to be pre-booked and must be paid for in advance at DWNP offices in Maun. Camping sites are limited and book up quickly, sometimes more than a year in advance in the peak seasons. With more than 30 years of combined safari experience, our friendly team can suggest custom-made itineraries and finalise your lodge and campsite reservations – at the same cost as if you’d booked direct.
Rules & Regulations
Please note that it is currently against the law to collect firewood in the Botswana national parks and game reserves. All firewood must be purchased in outside of the parks and transported in to the reserve. There are a number of veterinary fences which cordon off vast sections of Botswana to prevent the transmission of disease from wildlife to livestock and vice versa. Fresh meat from cloven-hoofed animals (i.e. pork, beef, venison) and dairy products cannot be transported north to south through these gates, and if found it may be confiscated. Please remove and change to dairy products is restricted in certain areas.
